Everyone is safe after a fire at a two-unit apartment building in Appleton.
It happened around 1:00 a.m. on Friday in the 1100 block of N. State Street.
The Appleton fire department was responding for a Carbon Monoxide detector activation. While investigating smoke and flames were noticed coming from the attic space of the building.
Everyone was able to get out safely, and the fire was under control within minutes.
The cause remains under investigation.
