The Green Bay City Council met tonight and on the agenda, the ethics charges against Alderman Chris Wery. Wery was accused of using his position as a temporary worker in a bank to look at his opponents financial records. Wery faces possible punishments of suspension or even removal from office. The Alderman released an objection to the findings saying in part, "The complaint filed by Ms. Jacques against me has no standing before the ethics board and as such should be dismissed immediately. Due to the erroneous decision personal and financial harm has been caused to myself. Immediate relief and dismissal of this complaint is asked to avoid further damage." No decision was made at the meeting.
