Young women and future leaders of our community were celebrated Tuesday, with an "Empower Hour" tea party.
The event was hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay, Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes, and the Green Bay Area Public School District at the Botanical Gardens.
The girls, their mentors and current leaders in our community gathered to inspire each other.
"The greatest thing is that they are also paired up with adult advocates, and they're able to work with them each week, to talk about school, talk about life, talk about challenges, obstacles, and really just work through things together, and really create lifelong relationships with each other," said Stephanie Schallhorn with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay.
NBC26 anchors Cassandra Duvall and Stacy Engebretson were honored to serve as guests and toast to girl power.
