KAUKAUNA, Wis-- An electrical fire leaves a multi-family home damaged.
It started around 3:45 a.m. on Friday in the 200 block of Elm Street in Kaukauna.
A total of 5 people, living in both units were able to make it out safely.
A cat in the second story unit died in the fire.
When crews arrived they found heavy smoke coming from the second story and roofline.
Crews put out a fire in a second story bedroom.
The fire was under control in about 20 minutes.
There was heavy fire damage to the bedroom. The rest of the second story sustained heat and smoke damage.
There was minimal water damage to the first floor.
Damage is estimated at $30,000.
