A 94-year-old passenger was killed in a crash that involved a deputy Friday morning.

The Outagamie County Sheriff's Department says they responded to a two vehicle crash involving one of their officers, Deputy Lynne James. Deputies say she is a 26-year veteran of the department.

Witnesses told them a Nissan four door car was driving south on Beech Street, in the Village of Black Creek, when it failed to yield at a stop sign, according to the sheriff's department.

They say as a result, Deputy James's squad car, driving west on State Street, hit the car.

Four people were in the Nissan at the time of the crash and all of them were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

A 94-year-old passenger from Seymour was flown to the hospital where she later died.

The 70-year-old driver, a 76-year-old and 18-year-old passenger were all treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Black Creek Fire and Rescue, Seymour Rescue, Shiocton Rescue, Theda Star and Eagle 3 all responded to the scene.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is still investigating the crash.
