Easter wouldn't be complete without some sweet treats. That showed Saturday when last-minute Easter shoppers packed Seroogy's Chocolates in De Pere to pick up more Easter basket candies.
"People of all ages enjoy coming to Seroogy's, it's an Easter tradition," said Marjorie Hitchcock, Director of Marketing for Seroogy's. "Our fudge eggs have been and remain our most popular item."
The tradition of personalizing Seroogy's fudge eggs for family and friends has lasted for generations.
"I'm getting them for my grandkids this year because I used to get them all for my kids when they were little," said Sharon Holda of Green Bay.
Across the street from Seroogy's, Alpha Delights European Bakery and Café sold a different kind of Easter treat.
"We feature our Greek Easter bread," said Co-Owner Mary Pappas.
With Easter breads, cookies and cakes, the entire staff tries to make sure every customer's celebration is perfect, explained Pappas.
"We collectively are all envisioning that item on someone's dinner table, and our judgment as to whether it goes out to a customer or not is, 'Is that something we would want to be serving our family for Easter?'" she said.
From the looks of the treats at both places, they would be a hit at any Easter dinner.
