OSHKOSH, Wis. - Tonight's air show was canceled because of the threat for severe weather.
Airventure leaders say they wanted to keep everyone safe.
Matthew Armstrong came all the way to Airventure from Louisiana. He was hoping to see the B-1 Bomber take off before the storm hit.
"We heard them cancel over the airbox frequency, and then they said that the B-1 was about to take off. So they actually already canceled the air show but the B-1 had to get out, and so we just watched them take off," said Armstrong.
He added the sound of the big bomber taking off was worth waiting for.
The next night air show is set for Saturday night at 8pm.
