APPLETON, Wis-- A home is damaged after a dryer fire.
It started around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at a home in the 1100 block of W. Harris Street.
Crews arrived to find thick black smoke in the basement.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
One adult and two children were home at the time, and were able to exit safely.
Damage is estimated around $2,000.
