One person was injured in a crash Sunday in Dodge County.

Neenah Police reported around 4:30 PM that a white GMC pick-up had been stolen. Soon after that report Winnebago deputies reported a white GMC pick-up truck had sideswiped another vehicle on I-41 near Highway 26.

A state trooper soon reported he was behind that vehicle, following it in Fond du Lac County and attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver of the pick up truck avoided 3 attempts by the trooper to stop the vehicle by deflating it's tires.

Speeds reached up to 100 mph as multiple troopers followed the vehicle. At one point, one of the pick up trucks tires disintegrated for an  unknown reason but the vehicle continued for several miles at 80 mph on it's rims.

Eventually the vehicle left the pavement and hit a highway sign before spinning out across the southbound lanes at 4:45 PM.

The driver was taken to a hospital in Oconomowoc and no law enforcement officers were injured.

Troopers attempts to stop the vehicle spanned nearly 22 miles. The driver had 2 warrants out from two different counties.

Now Neenah Police is investigating the vehicle theft and the State Patrol is investigating the crashes and pursuing fleeing charges.
