The Fox Valley Humane Association (FVHA) is in need of pet food after seeing a dramatic increase in animals recently.

In May, there was a 50% increase of dogs and puppies and a whopping 180% increase in kittens over last year at the same time, the FVHA said.

Now, the shelter is in need of dog, puppy, cat and kitten food.

The shelter prefers IAMs dog, puppy, cat and kitten chow, but all donations are welcome, they said.

Monetary donations are also welcome and can be specified to be used only for food.

"Thank you in advance for your continued support of our mission and to help us feed the animals in our care until they find their forever homes,"  said Deb Lewis, FVHA Executive Director

Donations can be brought to the shelter at N115 Two Mile Road in Appleton.

For more information please contact the shelter at (920) 733-1717.
