Dozens gather to celebrate Irish heritage

Posted

Dozens of people gathered on the Green Bay City Deck for some Irish dancing, food, a parade and lots of fun.

IT was all part of the Shamrock Club of Green Bay's annual St, Patrick's Day parade and celebration.  The parade is a yearly event that celebrates the rich Irish heritage in Northeast Wisconsin.

"It's a fun time to get together with friends and family.  That's a big part of the Irish culture, is sharing your ancestry with other people," said Dave Sielski, who was attending the festivities.

The event wrapped up at the Irish pub and restaurant St. Brendan's Inn along the city deck.
