A dozen people have been arrested after a drug crackdown in Waupaca County.

The Waupaca County Sheriff's Office says the twelve arrests are the result of a year-long investigation that started back in October 2017.

The department says it used undercover officers and confidential informants to find out who was selling and using illegal drugs. Those drugs include heroin, meth and marijuana.

The suspects face a variety of felony charges. Six of them face charges of child neglect. The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says that’s because children were present during controlled buys.

The Sheriff's Office says this is an on-going investigation and they do expect to make more arrests.
