Now that Halloween is over, it's time to get into the holiday spirit.
In Oshkosh, they're transforming the downtown area to Whoville.
Students from the school district's gifted and talented art program painted murals and store windows along Main Street on Tuesday, inspired by Dr. Seuss's “How The Grinch Stole Christmas”.
“We're trying to just get the community spirit, get everybody involved,” said Tammy Russell, the owner of 2 Blondes store in Oshkosh. “And with the kids, give them an opportunity because they're always looking for projects, and there are not a lot of them to do, so these have worked out really good. Hoping it might be an annual thing with them.”
The festive windows will be the backdrop for the annual Oshkosh Chamber Of Commerce Holiday Parade on Thursday, Nov. 17 and The Whoville Holiday Family Event on Nov. 19.
