Appleton police say a domestic violence suspect was arrested after leading officers on a chase through St. Elizabeth Hospital.
The incident happened around 11:45 AM Tuesday morning when officers responded to the 1000 block of S. East Street. Officers tell NBC26 the suspect initially ran into a shared basement of an apartment building.
While officers waited for additional assistance, the suspect was able get the building and drive off in a car. An officer was able to keep the suspect in sight as the suspect pulled into a parking lot at St. Elizabeth Hospital before running inside. The suspect ran through several areas of the hospital trying to get away.
Hospital security staff assisted officers and found the 27-year old man after a ten minute search.
The suspect is in jail on several charges related to both the initial domestic violence incident, which took place on October 21 Tuesday's incident.
