Domestic violence-related deaths on the rise in Wisconsin, report says

In 2016, Wisconsin had the highest number of domestic violence-related deaths in 17 years, according to a new report.

73 people were killed as a result of domestic violence last year, the Domestic Violence Homicide Report for the state said. That includes both victims and perpetrators.

That's the highest number since the report started 17 years ago.

The victims ranged from on year to 72 years old.

The average age of victims was 36 years old.
