The human swimming season is over at Ashwaubomay Park, and that means the lake is now turned over to our four-legged friends.
Saturday, hundreds of dogs and their owners came out for the 12th annual Doggie Dip event.
Organizers said that they hope this year's event will be their busiest one yet.
"We're hopeful that we will hit a record number this year," Lori Nachtwey said. "Last year we were pretty close, I think we had about 396. So yeah, it's a beautiful day so I hope we do hit that record."
For the humans out their today, the event also included a chance to win some dog-friendly raffle baskets.
