Wisconsin’s nine-day gun deer season started on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The DNR has released preliminary harvest numbers for opening Saturday only.
According to the numbers, 40,169 antlered deer were killed. The DNR also reports 28,587 antlerless deer were killed, making for a total of 68,756 deer killed.
According to the DNR, additional daily harvest updates will occur on Tuesday, Nov. 22 and Wednesday, Nov. 23.
A final summary for the nine-day hunt will be posted on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
