Three Oshkosh schools were placed on lockdown Wednesday after a disturbance on the city's east side.

Around noon, officers were called to Evans Street and E. Lincoln Ave for a report of an armed robbery. When police arrived, they found it was actually a disturbance between people who knew each other.

Nearby Emmeline Cook Elementary School and Webster Stanley Elementary and Middle schools were all contacted and locked down while officers investigated.

Police are still looking for one person involved, but said there's no threat to the community.

The school lockdowns were lifted after about 30 minutes.

The incident is still under investigation. If you have any information, you're asked to call Winnebago County Wide Crime Stoppers at (920) 231-8477.
