Diocese of Green Bay continues 150th celebration

Posted

The Diocese of Green Bay is recognizing Catholic educators as part of the church's 150th jubilee year.

This is one of 12 celebrations the Diocese is hosting throughout the year.

Leaders hope they can recognize groups of the faithful that aren't traditionally acknowledged.

"It's important for us to give back," Bishop David Ricken said. "God's been so good to us, the people here in these 16 counties have been so good to us here in the Church. We always try to educate and help lift people up."

The next jubilee celebration for the Diocese will be a mass for the homeless in November.
