Winnebago County deputies are investigating a report of a horse being shot. The incident happened in the 4400 block of Oregon Street in the town of Black Wolf. Deputies on the scene confirmed the gunshot wound, however, it is not known if it was an accident or a deliberate act.
The animal was treated for its injuries.
