The man killed in a Shawano County crash early Sunday morning has been identified.
Joshua Pingel, 21, of Bowler was killed after his car went into a ditch on Highway 45 and hit a telephone pole, the sheriff's office said.
The crash happened before 12:53 a.m. just south of Menzel Road in the Town of Fairbanks.
Pingel's 24-year-old passenger, Jordan Reinke, was hurt and brought to Aspirus Wausau by ambulance.
The accident is still being investigated.
