Decision delayed on Green Bay road repairs, property assessments

Posted

The Green Bay Common Council voted Tuesday night to delay for one year a decision on road repairs and related property owners' assessments.

The Council was considering repairs on Hillcrest Drive and Haven Place.  Part of the cost would have been passed to property owners.

Lisa Sabin-Wilson would have had to pay more than $42,000, she said.

"This kind of money, $30,000, $40,000, in some cases $50,000, will destroy and bankrupt these people out here," Sabin-Wilson said before Tuesday night's Council vote to delay the decision.

The Council is set to revisit the issue next year.
