Donald Trump pulled out all the stops at his campaign stop in Eau Claire Tuesday, bringing in key Republicans to help him make one last pitch to Wisconsin voters.
Senator Ron Johnson appeared for the first time with Trump at a campaign stop in Wisconsin during the rally at UW-Eau Claire's Zorn Arena. Governor Scott Walker, Reince Priebus, and Rudy Giuliani also took the stage, along with legendary Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight.
Trump focused his speech on the issues and the Clinton campaign's latest e-mail scandal. A common theme throughout the event was ending corruption in Washington, D.C.
"When we win on November 8th, we are going to Washington and we are going to drain the swamp," Trump said.
"Drain the swamp" is becoming a rallying cry for Trump supporters, indicating their frustration with people like Hillary Clinton who they call "career politicians."
"I think people are really fed up with it," said Alan Watson, a Trump supporter. "I've never voted straight Republican in my life and I'm going to next week."
Trump also highlighted details of his immigration plan.
"I would cancel all federal funding to sanctuary cities," he explained.
Outside the rally, protestors, who were mainly UW-Eau Claire students, voiced their frustrations with Trump's visit. However, they said they were pleased to see the support from fellow students.
"It's really comforting to see so many people out here supporting our beliefs, considering on the other side there are so many people who are spouting hate and fear," said Madison Bacon, a UW-Eau Claire student from Green Bay.
Trump is continuing his campaign stops in the battleground states of Florida, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina over the next few days.
