On Wednesday, Oshkosh Police arrested a 34-year-old man from Kaukauna for Aggravated Battery in relation to a death investigation. Police are continuing to investigate the death of a 47-year-old Oshkosh man, identified as Steven Mallas.
Police say Mallas died at his residence on Broad St on Friday, October 12.
According to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office, Steven Mallas died as a result of complications from a "battery" that happened on October 7th, just before 2 a.m. on the sidewalk area of Boyd Street.
Police have not released any more details about the "battery" that took place.
