Concerned citizens in Winnebago County went to a meeting tonight to look for answers to a dangerous intersection.
The intersection at the corner of County Road CB and Oakridge Road in the Town of Neenah has seen eight documented crashes since 2000. Three of those have been fatal.
Tonight a public forum was held at the Town of Neenah municipal building, where people could discuss options, like a roundabout, with county planners.
"So, they've accumulated a lot of traffic data... [and] crash history," says Winnebago Co. Highway Commissioner Ernest Winters. "They've started looking at what some of the alternatives might be. And [we're reaching] out to the public. We need public input on this."
A final plan would need approval of the full County Board.
No word yet on when the next public forum will be held.
