De Pere Police are searching for a man after an alleged altercation between two people that lead to a police chase.
The incident, according to police started at a home in the 1300-block of Scheuring Road in De Pere.
Police say they knew the suspect was going to be at a business on Lawrence Drive. When the suspect say police near the business, police say the man sped off hitting a tree and three police squad cars. Speed strips were used, but the man evaded them. The pursuit was then called off due to excessive speed and safety.
Police then got a report of the vehicle being in an area near Finch Lane in Ashwaubenon.
Police set up a perimeter, but say the suspect got away before police arrived. Authorities believe this is an isolated incident and that the public is not in any danger.
