DAV gets new wheelchair accessible transport van

Posted
The Green Bay chapter of the Disabled Veterans of America received a handicapped accessible transport van on Friday. The group will use it to bring veterans in wheelchairs to doctor appointments, shopping, and more.

"The transportation that we have currently offered is for those who are mobile. They need to get in and out of our vans on their own. This van can carry a wheelchair and three passengers in addition to that," said Dick Marbes with the DAV.

The DAV's volunteer drivers say they're happy to be able to help even more veterans in need.
