Dangerous temps: Cold weather experiment

Green Bay, WI -- Tuesday is another day of dangerously cold temperatures. The bitter wind chills dipped down in the double digits below zero and that can take a serious toll on your body.

NBC26's Brooke Hafs showed us a cold weather experiment that gives a better visual of just how cold it is.

Although the cold temperatures are keeping some people indoors, others are braving the elements.

For Gene's Deep Rock employees in Green Bay, it's all part of a day's work.

The full service gas station's staff does everything from pumping gas to changing oil for their clients, and attendants say they see an uptick in business when the temps drop below freezing.

While employees are usually only outside for a few minutes, they are encouraged to layer up to avoid frostbite.

Anyone heading outside should wear hats, mittens, scarves and layers to keep warm and safe.
