Crews in Kaukauna responded to two fires early Tuesday morning.
Officials say both fires were caused by the improper disposal of smoking materials.
The first fire happened around 1:00 a.m. at a two-story residence on the 500 block of West 7th Street.
Officials said that when crews arrived, smoke and fire was visible on the balcony and siding of the residence.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire outside and then extinguished a fire found in the attic.
Then, crews responded to the second fire at the Trail Park Apartments around 5 a.m.
Officials say the fire was on a balcony and was quickly put out.
The occupant told officials he had been smoking on the building.
Nobody was injured in either of the fires.
