The Bowler Fire Department responded to a house fire around 1 a.m. Thursday.
They found the fire contained to the attic.
Crews called in the Stockbridge Fire Department to help fight the flames.
They spent a few hours putting out hotspots.
Firefighters said the structure of the home on E. Main Street made it tough to fight.
"Right now it's a little stubborn," said Brad Lidwig, the Bowler Fire Chief. "The way the house is designed with older tin siding and a lot of shingles on the roof, and little additions here and there too. It's a little complicated right now."
There were no injuries and firefighters said the main damage will be from water rather than the flames.
The believe it started from an electrical issue.
The cause remains under investigation.
