Firefighters were called to the Kohler Company in Sheboygan County late Wednesday night for reports of a fire.
County officials said several departments responded to the fire in Kohler. Some employees on scene said they were evacuated from the building just before midnight.
When fire crews arrived on scene, flames and smoke could be seen coming from the building. The Kohler Company said the fire broke out in the cast iron foundry.
Command Units with the Kohler Volunteer Fire Department reported the fire being extinguished by 6:40 a.m. Thursday.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office said the extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
Kohler Company officials said the facility was safely evacuated and no one was injured.
Cast iron operations impacted by the fire have been suspended until further notice.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
