Under the Friday night lights, money is being raised for the family of Justin Johnson at the Kaukauna high school football game.
The 12 year old was hit and killed by a school bus on the first of classes...
"This is our student council who are really leading the activity they're the ones taking the buckets around our students wanted to do everything they could to help the family and the siblings who are within our school district as much as possible," said Kaukauna high school principal, Corey Baumgartner.
They're calling it the "miracle minute," collecting hundreds of dollars in just sixty seconds.
"It was really crazy to see how many people were just like digging out of their pockets and just putting whatever they had into the bucket." said Kaukauna high school student council member, Haley Corcoran.
Before the game even got started donations were already pouring in. Friday night's rival team, the Kimberly Papermakers donated $1,100 to the cause. Earlier this week more money came in from the Neenah schools.
"It's heartwarming you know our communities are special places here in the fox cities you know people rallying in times of need and tragedy," said Baumgartner.
All of the money raised at Friday's game will be counted and donated to Unison Credit Union where there's a fund for the Johnson family set up. Unison has branches in Kaukauna, Little Chute and Wrightstown for anyone who would like to donate.
