A disturbing Craigslist ad forced a Suamico elementary school to use extra caution Monday.
The Howard-Suamico School District said a parent called Forest Glen Elementary School to say a Craigslist ad titled "Children for Sale - Forest Glen Elementary" was posted online.
The ad went on to say, "Hundreds of kids to choose from. Pick and run. Male or female ages 5-9."
The school sent an e-mail home to parents Monday saying out of precaution, it would be changing dismissal procedures for the day. The school required parents to pick up students who normally walk or ride a bike. It also moved recess indoors.
A Howard-Suamico School District spokesperson told NBC26 that all recess and dismissal procedures returned to normal Tuesday.
The Brown County Sheriff's Department is investigating the post, but said it is most likely a joke. At this time it's unknown who made the post and why.
