A couple from Green Bay were welcomed home Thursday, after biking thousands of miles on a tandem bicycle.
Peter and Tracy Flucke, who've done many cross-country trips, set out for Santa Monica, California on June 3 from Green Bay.
They rode along Route 66, hitting the scenic stops along the way.
They say this was their most difficult trip, but they adjusted.
"We had a lot of head winds,” explained Peter. “The prevailing winds from the west, that slowed us down a bit. And just like here, it was an incredibly hot summer so what we had to be conscious of, getting up early, making sure we had a lot of water."
It took the pair 49 days to make their journey.
