Fond Du Lac County leaders say they have successfully prevented a violent sex offender from moving into the area.
The convicted sex offender was scheduled to be transferred from a facility in Marinette County, to a home in the town of Eldorado.
The transfer never went through after county officials successfully appealed to the judge who ordered the move.
The appeal was successful, because new state laws require released sex offenders to live in their home county.
