MADISON (NBC 26) — Wisconsin reported 178 new cases of coronavirus Monday, the lowest number of daily new cases since June 15.
On June 15, 2020, the state Department of Health Services reported 174 new cases.
The latest numbers continue a downward trend in the state that began after a spike in the number of new cases last November. In addition to the low number of daily cases, Wisconsin also reported zero new deaths Monday. The state's total death toll remains at 6,481.
State numbers also showed Monday that more than 1 million Wisconsinites have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. More than 603,000 residents have completed the vaccine series.
A total of more than 1.7 million COVID-19 vaccine shots have been administered in Wisconsin.
