MADISON (NBC 26) — More than 400,000 people have recovered from coronavirus in Wisconsin, according to the latest data from the state Department of Health Services.
The latest numbers shows a total of 403,706 people have recovered from coronavirus since the state began tracking the virus earlier this year. The state percentage of recovery was exactly 90% on Thursday.
At the same time, Wisconsin reported 3,643 new cases of coronavirus. The lower number of cases marks a continuing downward trend of lower number of cases reported since the beginning of December. COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin spiked in mid-November and have been trending downward since then, according to the Associated Press.
The number of deaths reported in Wisconsin related to coronavirus increased by 59 on Thursday, brining the state's total to 4,255.
