Wisconsin reports over 6,000 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths

Over 6,000 new COVID-19 cases were reported by Wisconsin health officials Sunday afternoon.

The state Department of Health Services (DHS) said 6,058 out of 17,977 COVID-19 tests returned positive.

Almost 77% of people in Wisconsin who tested positive for the virus, or 240,075 cases, have since recovered. An estimated 69,594 cases remain active across the state.

Another 12 deaths were recorded for a total of 1,637 people in the Wisconsin to have died in related to coronavirus.

Hospitalizations increased by 155, bringing the state total to 14,381 people hospitalized with the virus.
