MADISON (NBC 26) -- Wisconsin reported 7,497 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, smashing all previous records of daily cases.
The coronavirus numbers continue to climb in the state, as Wisconsin also surpassed 2,500 deaths Thursday. New data from the state Department of Health Services shows 58 new deaths were reported, raising the state's death toll to 2,515.
Wisconsin now has 293,388 confirmed total cases, with 76% of those cases listed as recovered. There are currently 66,873 cases in the state listed as active.
The number of people ever hospitalized due to coronavirus rose to 13,771 on Thursday, an increase of 264.
