Wisconsin reports 717 new cases of coronavirus, no new deaths

MADISON (NBC 26) -- For a third day in a row, Wisconsin reports no new deaths due to coronavirus.

The state's death toll due to COVID-19 remains at 1,168.

The latest numbers from the state Department of Health Services also show a low number of tests returning on Tuesday. Of the 4,083 tests Wisconsin DHS reported, 717 came back with a positive result.

The daily percent positive rate, the rate of tests returning a positive result, went up to 17.6% Tuesday, a new record.

The number of people who have ever been hospitalized in the state was 6,118 on Tuesday, up 29 from Monday.
