MADISON (NBC 26) -- New data released Wednesday show a lower number of new coronavirus cases and a lower percentage of COVID-19 tests returning a positive result.
Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 478 new cases of coronavirus Wednesday, leaving the total number of confirmed cases in the state at 62,263. 8,884 of those cases are currently active. 84% of those cases have since recovered.
The percentage of coronavirus tests that came back positive in Wisconsin is 4.8%. The rate hasn't been that low since August 6.
