Wisconsin reports 3,815 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, 45 new deaths

MADISON (NBC 26) -- After a record-shattering Tuesday, Wednesday's coronavirus numbers from Wisconsin were lower.

Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 3,815 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, much lower than Tuesday's record-breaking report of more than 5,000 new cases.

There are now 210,126 confirmed total number of cases in Wisconsin. 78% of those cases are listed as recovered.

The number of people ever hospitalized in Wisconsin due to coronavirus rose to 10,810 Wednesday, an increase of 174.

Wisconsin's death toll continues to rise as well, with 45 new deaths reported Wednesday.

A total of more than 2 million people in Wisconsin have been tested for coronavirus since the pandemic began.
