Wisconsin reports 206 positive COVID-19 tests, one death

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — State health officials said 206 out of 2,367 COVID-19 tests returned positive Saturday afternoon.

The Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 18.1% or a total of 1,051,159 people in Wisconsin have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.

According to research from Bloomberg, Wisconsin ranks top in the nation for COVID-19 vaccine supply usage.

The DHS said 97.6% of people who originally tested positive for the virus have since recovered. There are currently a recorded 7,085 active cases across the state.

One death was recorded since Friday for a total of 6,478 people in the state to have died in relation to the virus.

Hospitalizations increased by 45, bringing the state total to 26,432 people to ever be hospitalized with the virus. The most recent numbers show 36 people in northeast Wisconsin are in the hospital with 11 of them in ICU.
