Wisconsin reports 2,283 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths

Wisconsin health officials reported 2,283 new cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday afternoon. This comes one day after Wisconsin broke the record for highest number of positive cases reported in a single day.

The state Department of Health Services (DHS) said the percentage of tests returning positive was 18.3%. This is a slight decrease from Friday's 19.4%.

The DHS said 13,671 cases are considered active across Wisconsin, an increase from Friday. The recovery percentage remained at 85%.

Another three deaths were reported, bringing the state total to 1,241 people who have died in relation to the virus.

Hospitalizations increased by 50 for a total to 6,619 people hospitalized with the virus.
