MADISON (NBC 26) -- On the same day Gov. Tony Evers issues a face covering order, Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported more than 1,000 new cases of coronavirus in the state.
New data reports 1,059 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. The total number of confirmed cases is now at 52,108. 79% of those cases are listed as recovered. DHS reports there are 9,704 active cases of coronavirus in Wisconsin.
Eight new deaths related to coronavirus were reported Thursday, leaving the death total at 919.
