Wisconsin DHS: 689 positive COVID-19 tests returned Saturday

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — State health officials said 689 out of 3,890 COVID-19 tests returned positive. They said there are 8,041 currently active coronavirus cases recorded in Wisconsin as of Saturday afternoon.

The Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 6,412 people in Wisconsin have died in relation to COVID-19, which is 13 more deaths than the day prior.

According to the DHS, an estimated 548,884 people who initially tested positive for the virus have since recovered. This is 844 more people than Friday.

Hospitalizations increased by 75, bringing the state total to 26,088 people to ever be hospitalized with the virus.
