Wisconsin allocated more than 2.1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses

MADISON (NBC 26) — Wisconsin has been allocated more than 2.1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, according to new numbers on the state's Department of Health Services website.

More than 1.7 million shots have been administered in the state. More than a million Wisconsinites have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 613,500 people in Wisconsin have completed the vaccine series.

It comes as Wisconsin saw an uptick in coronavirus numbers Tuesday. DHS reported 463 new cases of coronavirus in the state, along with 29 new COVID-related deaths.

The latest death numbers sent Wisconsin past a grim milestone of more than 6,500 deaths since the pandemic began in the state.
