Wis. reports first time in months no new COVID-19 deaths

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — Health officials said no new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported Sunday afternoon, which has not been seen since November 22, 2020.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), 403 out of 4,265 COVID-19 tests returned positive.

The DHS said there are 8,882 active cases recorded across the state. A total of 544,250 people who previously tested positive for the virus have since recovered.

Hospitalizations increased by 27, bringing the state total to 15,943 people to ever be hospitalized with the virus.
