Percentage of people recovering from coronavirus is rising in Wisconsin

MADISON (NBC 26) -- 87% of coronavirus cases in Wisconsin have now recovered, according to new data from Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

The new data released Friday shows that the state now has a total of 69,059 confirmed cases of coronavirus, an increase of 826 from yesterday. 60,055 of those cases are now labeled as "recovered". There are 7,918 active cases in the state, a decrease from yesterday's number of active cases.

One new death related to coronavirus was reported Friday. The state death total is now at 1,068.

9,744 coronavirus tests in the state came back negative Friday. The percent positive rate, the rate of tests returning a positive result, climbed up slightly from yesterday to 7.8%.
