MADISON (NBC 26) -- The total number of negative tests for coronavirus surpassed 1 million Monday in Wisconsin.
According to new data from the state Department of Health Services, 1,001,402 total coronavirus tests have returned a negative result as of Monday.
Over the course of the pandemic, 61,061 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Wisconsin. About 83% of those people have recovered, but 998 have died.
There were no new deaths reported by the state on Monday. Also on Monday, DHS reported 507 new cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, with the percent positive rate dropping from 8.4% Sunday to 6.2% Monday. There are currently 9,383 active coronavirus cases in the state, according to DHS.
